I highly stress this, otherwise you will be replacing your pistons/motor in no time.

That's what I said/thought and look at where I am. If you can't go straight to tubular definitely try it. I would like to see if you will be another victim of the log or if your turbo will actually make it out.

I have a feeling that Vadim is having issues with something in his setup combined with the tune. Not sure what it is since it is hard to troubleshoot a car without being there to test things and feel how it runs yourself.
I've been getting a lot of help form another forum member with the tune too. Lets just say his tune made 10 more whp then any other tune that I've tried. I wont mention who it is unless they are fine with it
.
Another thing is, I'm running my turbo is outside of it's good powerband range. It's just starting to get fun and I kick the wastegate on. Once I go tubular I will up the boost to 15 psi.

THIS. If VVL kicking in made the car feel better, I would say it's something else then the log. I tried VVL at 4800 and my nice feeling torque would go away around there. Moved it 5500 now it's better. I think it's time to move it to 6k again.
