You have a just VE, that's pretty much a drop in replacement. With just a VE you don't have to worry about a better clutch, transmission, traction, etc.

If if wasn't so slow on a P11 I would just keep it because it's much simpler then having a turbo. But VE alone is just a big waste of money on a p11

But really, it takes a while for that sludge to build up in the turbo. And while the coolant does help prevent it, it isn't really that necessary. I'd say it would probably be more necessary on ball bearing turbos. Since the ball bearings can likely heat up and expand too much if not kept cool... but I don't hear of that being the case.

I've been looking and it looks like my T3 options are limited for something small. Thus I might as well go ball bearing, in which case like you mentioned, water is probably a must .

Even the precision ball bearing turbos are non water cooled.

Basicly your option is a garrett turbo if your wanting the bb and water cooled.

And yes i agree, evos look and perform much better than subies. Not to mention I cant stand the subi sound. Even with an equal length turbo manifold, still has that tone to it.

Oh interesting, are the Precision BB turbos not water cooled because of different bearings?

I love the subi sound, hence I like my STI muffler. If all 4 cylinders sounded like a subi, I don't think we would be picked on for having loud cars like we do...

Precision uses a ceramic ball bearing setup that doesn't require water. It still kinda makes me nervous though, because I love to drive hard, and I'm not always patient enough for a full cooldown period.

The center section is air cooled.

I think a gt3076r will work great for you.

It works for computers, but they don't get quite as hot

Damn V!

That's quite a bit of damage, sucks to hear about that. The only way to go is up man, keep moving forward!
