sweep of the oil pressure gauge is dependent of the type of gauge(direct pressure or sending unit). if your using a direct pressure gauge you will see some fluctuation as where a sending unit you will not see it.
here are some reference numbers with type of oil used
That is a bit low at idle. should not drop below 20psi unless the oil has already started to break down and thin out.
It's not that good to compare other's oil pressures to yours, unless they are using the same gauge. I have seen variances of 20psi between gauges before on the same engine running 2 gauges. Just a heads up.
Either way, I would look for that pin. Drop the oil pan and see what is up. Only takes 15 min.

I agree its hard to compare numbers from after market gauges. Also the weight of the oil also changes the numbers. I have also had a gauge read low after being damaged by over ranging. This happens to pressure senders and direct pressure units alike.
I have an SS line running straight to the gauge, It might be -4an though. I am also teeing into the oil line that goes to the turbo. I have an oil restrictor on the turbo line but at the turbo.
I am also running fresh Rotella 15w40, barely 200 miles on it.
you can always drop the pan or try another gauge. if the diaphragm in the gauge got stretched it will read low. I had engineers that did not understand that a 30psi gauge is a 30psi gauge max and would over range them. I some times would fix them in lab most of the time I just bought new gauges.
