I know that a log manifold can make power on a VE, but it is all about managing the backpressure. Larger turbine, matched wheels, bigger ar, all contribute to how well you are going to be able to utilize the log. The log is seen as the power-robbing culprit simply because it has the largest effect on reversion.

I have seen first-hand how backpressure, cams, and manifold design all work together and I know you can make power on the log. But can you do it using the exact same parts as Vadim? I am doubtful, as you guys know. The protech log manifold is crap for a VET without a huge turbo, or VET cams. Here's another question... how many of you guys making power on log manifolds use the same one as V? I know at the time I was the only one running that manifold on a VE+T, and all it gave me was headaches.

That video of the VVL on sr16 cams and a disco... 270whp is pathetic. I made 300whp by 14psi on my disco on a s3-cammed DET

There is no forumal for right or wrong. What works for a particular power goal, works. Let's just leave it alone. I'll have a bin for you this evening Vadim, sorry I just been over my head with intake testing.''

Down here there is no one (well mayb 1 guy named Lindon) I can trust to tune a stand alone , they will not always get the car working like how its supposed to , we with the JWT kicked alot of guys rass with Stand Alone, ECU'S and a Manifold is two different thing, if we do get a car with stand alone to work well it will be loads of dyno time and money, still when i see Miko's 545hp on 20 psi with a JWT i say damn , if a JWT could do this , why not go JWT , just plug that mofo in with simple adjustments and run nice and clean. If i wanna go 650hp and up ill have no choice but go stand alone down here but you guys up there have good experienced tuners. Well there probably are some wackos also lol

so in my case the end result will be

''The JWT was Ultra lame when we was using it , when Standalone was installed ,it was even ultra ultra ultraaaa lame, the car run worst plus we had to pay the tuner a big amount of money''

Sounds like you need to save the money and learn how to program the stand alone yourself. Don't get scared because you can kill a your motor if you do something wrong.

I wonder if V had my 1.6 cams if they would make more power or less. If reversion is happening, it will make less power than the 2.0 cams. Vadim, I will gladly send you a set of 1.6 cams for you to try out.

I have some SR16 cams, I could install them but don't feel like going through the trouble unless I know I can make gains

Vadim what is the cost of 1hr dyno rental in your area? Wonder how it compares to down here.

$100 or 3 pulls at $75. Need to dedicate a full Saturday, which I can't do until November because my weekends are that full

Yea i go with the $100 for an hour at my local dyno.. that gives me lots of time to play with afr and timing map but im n/a so its prolly alot easier for me lol.

That is pretty sweet. Kinda crazy how one hour is $100 bucks, probably get about 20-30 pulls and for three pulls it's $75. I understand about being busyon weekends, house/work/life > sitting underneath a car cursing gods.
