Since I'm having no luck with finding VET cams, think I might start buying parts for a tubular manifold...

That sucks. No one on this forum know what jp is up to these days?

You can have the cams for 300 if you can get in touch with him

I'm part of the Douche Duece, not like I have to listen to what you say

It took me a while to get the timing right as it transitioned to boost. My mid power really isn't too bad, but it does leave something to be desired. There's just a narrow flat spot I still need to take care of just before boost is introduced. But once boost starts coming on, it builds hard and fast. Especially when it reaches 8+ psi. I can vouch for whoever said these turbos are just starting to get going at 10 psi.

I'm still working on the flat spot in the mid-range. I'm not sure how similar/different the timing is between the VE and DE, but I can share what I have so far if it's of any use.

18psi nice! I'd like to see that timing map for comparison. Let's hear more about your setup.

I noticed that the GT30 felt lazy on 10psi with the log manifold. 15-16psi was where it loved it! 20psi was awesome. 24psi, though violent, felt at the limits of the turbo. It still moves, but it def felt like it was starting to taper off, and it did. 20psi was 420whp and 442 at 24psi. Meh.

Now, 10psi feels like... awesomeness. Like Chuck Norris spin kicks the back bumper! Every time I hit boost I'm thinking AAAWWWEEEESSOSOOOOMMMEEE!

I'm pretty happy with 10psi on the street and I haven't raised the boost in a while. Maybe 14psi... nah. I'm gonna put on a GT35r and make 375whp on 10psi. That would be awesomer!

Well, here's what I am working on so far.

Been trying to tune on 93 pump first. Once I'm locked in, I'll work on something just a hair more aggressive for higher octane.

It's a short style, tubular stainless. Kind of like an improved log design. The collector area could use some improvement, but I haven't gotten around to pulling it to work on it.

Yeah, it doesn't really come alive until you approach 10 psi, but like I said, past that point is amazing. It's like hitting a 150+ shot of nitrous on a v-8. When I first started tuning it, and past 10 psi the first time, I nearly shat my pants with a smile. More than I expected. When it's at 18 psi, it feels like it's still begging for more. I'd love to oblige, but not at the cost of my engine.

Here's what my setup consists of at the moment:

Forged BC Sportsman rods & Wiseco pistons 9.2:1 CR
BC 0201 264* cams
ACL bearings
S15 444 injectors @ 4 Bar
Turbosmart Ultragate 38 wastegate & 2" screamer
E60 MAF
Full 3" stainless exhaust and A'pexi N1 muffler
Half size 2" core aluminum radiator
3" core intercooler
Z32 fuel filter
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
NismoTronic B13 Basic ECU with Tunercode & OBDI stepdown
A'pexi SAFC 2
AEM UEGO Wideband

In the future, I'm going to go for 720cc+ injectors to feed this thing, probably a meth kit, and see just how far I can push it. Also, a full working over of the cylinder head.
