WTF...Gas in vacuum hoses
So i'm driving home today, and the car dies. I noticed, while the car was still moving, that the air/fuel gauge was at full rich. 10.0 on aem guages. Last 2 times this happened an intercooler hose popped off so i figured that was the problem. When i get under the hood i notice "liquid" coming out of the bleed hole on my boost controller. I try to restart the car and it cranks for about 3 seconds, then stops. Let off the key, try it again and the starter starts to spin way fast like its not engaging. So i go under the car to look at the starter and notice MASSIVE amounts of gas dripping from under the battery. This of course has me stumped because as we know there arent any fuel lines there.
So i get the car towed home and start to tinker. Well every vacuum line is filled with gas. I mean filled. I undo the boost controller and gas poors out of it. I undo one of the vacuum lines that runs around the back of the motor and same thing. I undo the 2 vacuum lines that go on the top of the intake by the fuel rail ( high port ) and same thing.
When it first happened i noticed my fuel pressure guage would go to 50 psi when i turned the key. But as soon as the fuel pump stopped priming it dropped to 0. Now when i do the same thing the fuel pressure guage only goes up to 2-3 psi and back to 0 after it stops priming.
Anyone have any idea what could cause massive amounts of fuel to be in the vacuum lines? I've never seen such a thing and am really stumped.
