I have a Koyo (if you didnt see in the pictures)

I really want a hood vent, but what i have against scoops/vents is water getting all over everything when its sitting.

What setup/cut out do you have for front bumper venting?

Nostrils and currently a 28 x 5.5 x 2.5 (overall)

The TR8 intercooler is 28 x 7.8 x 3.5

Thermal coatings are your friend. Wrap or coating will greatly reduce under hood temps.

This.

Engine bays should be all business. Ceramic coated piping or at a minimum heat wrapped. Your hotside piping is your primary source of heat when you're stopped. You don't have it wrapped that I can see. Thermal coat your manifold. Header wrap on the cold side piping is a no-no, because header wrap keeps heat IN, not out.

I'm getting ready to purchase a turbo blanket, and some header wrap for my downpipe. I already have some on my hot side piping since it's right next to my downpipe. I'm hoping to see a pretty big improvement. I've also been seriously considering 'nostrils' in the front of my NX, as well as some sort air vent to the air filter, and some sort of vent after the radiator to pull hot air out.

I was thinking about the cold side piping though; I can see where you are saying that it keeps heat IN - but at the same time, wouldn't wrapping it keep external heat OUT if the ambient temperatures under hood are pretty toasty? Is this any logic behind that, or am I just insane? I guess ideally the under hood temps wouldn't be that hot anyway, but my cold side piping gets pretty hot to the touch at times...

You have a standalone in that car, right? And that's an IAT sensor right in front of the throttle body? That IAT is heat soaking when the car stops moving.

Move the IAT into the cold side end tank of the IC to get it out of the engine bay. This will also help out with the car running like ass on hot restarts.

The IAT sensor isn't plugged in. I think its in the right place to indicate the air temp entering the engine. Hopefully its an open element sensor. You should be able to tune the IAT fuel/timing trims to help reduce the problem.
