Well I got a set coming and I can take pics when they get here. But honestly I ran the old ones without any problem whatsoever with the stock 20v metal hg. But this time I have to run a cometic because I can't find a nissan one anymore. It would suck to tear down this VE-T again because of a faulty design.

I will never use the Cometic, prefer the OEM. I would wait and get one. Whereabouts usually sells the VE Metal Headgaskets?

^Interesting, what experience have you had with the cometic HG? Most people on the board seem to like the VE HG though.

I have seen several cometic gasket failures. Guys have retorqued them and they have been nothin but problems. I have bought an Apexi HG for my build and for the VE-T build I will be using a OEM metal HG. Just trying to locate one.

^So you have two builds going on? That's the way I read your post. Why two different HG's? Something different, or you can't locate the Metal VE HG's?

Probably because the Apexi doesn't have a VE oil hole.

No physical difference between the old ARP's and the new ARP's. Now, that doesn't mean that they aren't higher strength than the previous model, but they definitely look the same. I haven't physically counted threads between the new and old stud, though.

JUN strengthened head bolts from [url]www.greenline.jp[/url] are $270ish for the m11x1.5 and are a good option that is significantly cheaper then tomei. Probably come out to $310 shipped with international paypal fees, check em out.

Also for 400-500whp OEM have worked fine for me for 2 years on 20psi and 423whp and are about $50, just a thought.

I am looking into getting OEM gtir head bolts for my 54c block, which is proviing difficult, but OEM is great and cheap, I will not use ARP for sr20xxx, may consider JUN if I cant get a hold of some new OEM gtir head bolts

Call ARP then and find out what they can do for you. I talked to them and they said the new studs were different.
