Thread: MXL Strada Digital Display/Cluster

Has anyone here ever use this cluster with their AEM or any other standalone. It was purposely designed to hook up to the AEM EMS using the Serial cable connection. Im seriously considering getting this to cover up the stock cluster as the stock tach only goes to 9k anyways and I also want to convert my speedo to electric to get rid of the crappy cable that doesnt read right in the AEM EMS anyways. I was gonna try and mess with the boost by speed option and when i data logged vehicle speed all i saw was a bunch of high/low spiking from 0-255mph no averaging. So i dont think the AEM can get a proper reading off the cable driven speedo's signal back to the ecu.

If you read up on it, it has many key abilities that im looking for such as the programmable tach, programmable 10 led shift light that lets you know when your nearing the redline of your choice. Displays speed in digital, displays a/f, engine temp, and has the ability to take in other analog inputs such as fuel pressure, oil pressure and so on.

Downfall is the price. I didnt realize just how expensive these are but I think they are worth it.

Here is a link with the price and some specs on it. It would fit perfectly in front of the stock cluster and maybe even be able to graft it into the cover of the stock cluster as to keep the fuel gauge visible and not rip anything up.

Do it Just don't tell me how much you like it afterwords...I don't need to spend that kind of money on a cluster.

Well soo far all the reviews ive read on them said they were amazing. Great replacement for the factory cluster. Yeah i think Im gonna go for it.

Anyone else use this or thought about using it? I hate the audio and electronics section. Nobody comes in this section. lol. Thats why I originally had it in the turbo section because this would be more for big builds turbo or n/a.

Mazworx has something similar to this in that green drag S14. You can look it up on youtube to see it in use. Looks pretty sweet.
