Car randomly died...
I was cruising around with my buddy the other night and I was just casually driving, did a little 3rd gear pull but nothing even close to rev limit. Started cruising again and it was just running super lean in 5th gear. The car would not really go, shuddering and what not. Then it quit, put it into 4th then shifted back to 5th then came right back a min later, I literally had the pedal on the floor and it would not accelerate, as looking at the a/fs it was just reading off the gauge lean then next thing I know the car dies. I pull over and start it back up, running super lean with a horrible idle and then died again, checked under the hood thought maybe intercooler pipe. Everything looked fine, let it sit for a few mins and started it back up, runs absolutely fine....What in the hell could have caused this? Kinda freaks me out and I don't want to get stuck somewhere.

Ive never had that happen so I cant be sure

Maybe a bad ground or loose wire ?

Stratton.

All grounds have been redone. The lights or nothing didn't dim, had no trouble restarting either. So I don't think it could be that? Kinda wondering if my MAF is taking a shit. I need to get a consult cable lol Damn JWT ECu....

Fuel pump? Would explain very lean and possibly the intermittent issue.

Sounds like fuel pump issue or you were almost out of gas and sucked up some air. If it was intercooler piping which obviously it wasnt it would have gone rich as hell not lean.

Dont know how much fuel was in the tanks but yeah ive had it happen to me and it usually happens if i was on "E" on the fuel gauge and took a corner too quick and sucked up some air.

Driving straight, half tank of gas. Has a walbro 255 in that's 3 years old. Fuel makes since though so that could narrow it down to injectors, fuel filter, FPR or pump. hmmm

Gonna be a pump or relay issue. Its obvious the pump obviously cut off for whatever reason or sucked up some air. If the relay is going out it can get hot and become inoperative. Usually from a bad coil in the relay. Not entirely common on our cars but common for relays in general. Maybe a pump problem.

Thinks to look into and check over.

I would def check the pump.

Give your spark plug wires a quick once over along with your MAF harness. I have had both come loose in the past and had the motor do the same thing.

I checked everything i could see and pushed everything to make sure it was secure. Maybe something was loose i do remember seeing my fpr gauge and it was solid after it died
