Problem reving out.
Here's the scoop...

Car had boost leaks at first. I got all new IC piping and put 90% of it on. Only part i dont have put on is off the turbo. I DO NOT have a blow thru set up. Im thinking about doing a blow thru set up this weekend. Right now my MAF if at the VERY END OF the piping off turbo with NO FILTER OR ANYTHING. (N62 maf) Car runs smooth and drives great. Uses gas like crazy though. MAF IS 18'' from turbo. I dont drive the car everyday right now cause of the issue. It builds boost decent but soon as i get to 4500-5k its a DOG. The rev slows down. Takes so long to get to 7k after 4500-5k. Iv only done it like twice cause i dont wonna hurt nothing. Im thinking the maf being on end up pipe with no filter is the problem and proberly messing up the reading to maf possibly. Im gonna do blow thru anyways this weekend. So hopefully im right. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and maybe could chime in. Any help appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Break down:
-After 5k, revs slow as crap and feels like a huge dog.
-NOT getting good gas milage at all.
-Car runs smooth and no studdering or misfires just putting around or even reving to 4-5k. Pulls like it should.
-Has MAF on a stick off turbo with NO FILTER or piping on it. IS atleast 18'' away from turbo.

SETUP:

-Avenier DET w/ stock t25 (3'' downpipe)
-RC 740cc Injectors/ JGY fuel rail...
-N62 (z32) MAF
-JWT ECU w/ Z32 maf and 740cc injector program. (3bar) Fuel pressure set at 43.5 or so.
-255 fuel pump

In my experience, the air filter helps smooth out the air before the MAF, giving a better reading for the hot wire. You're obviously running rich, so tighten all your pipe clamps or whatever to start. Remember you need to optimize air flow into the motor, youve got the downpipe covered, what size catback you running?

Im confused by your setup.... Do you have a picture, or can you find one of how the maf is before the turbo? I do a draw-through setup, since most oem setups are like that.

I currently dont have a picture. It is a draw thru setup right now. It goes like this starting from the motor...

MOTOR>TURBO>INTAKE PIPING (OFF TURBO INLET)>MAF....THERE IS NO FILTER OR ANYTHING ON MAF. STRAIGHT Z32 (N62) MAF.

sounds like a boost leak to me or your MAF is not reading correctly. Hook up a Nissan Consult and get a wideband. Do a boost leak test.

I screen on the MAF is where the air is coming into the motor if that makes any sense. Also exhaust sizing isnt gonna do this. Im only running stock wastegate. 3'' downpipe, 2.5 catback. Friend of mine is running 12lbs on 2.5 exhaust with stock downpipe and his car runs amazing. My car does not like to rev past 5k at all it seems. Thank you for the input. Please keep them coming.

As for tightening the the clamps and everything on piping. I just put new charge piping and (cold side) intake piping on the car this past weekend. Clamps are very tight and my vaccuum reading is -18 to -20...-25 on deceleration. Only new pipes i didnt put on yet is the intake piping going to the turbo inlet that my maf is sitting on. That shouldnt really be an issue though. Theres no pressure held in that piping and its on nice and snug. Thanks again.

I figured it out. It was exactly what i thought. MAF on a stick with no filter screwed with the reading with the maf. Gonna finish intake piping off turbo this weekend and put in new axle seal.

Thanks for the TWO ppl that gave input. Any help or other idea's helped just incase it wasn't what i thought. Got alot of work to do this fri or sat. Gonna take a road trip early next week so i needed her tip top. Turning the boost up to 12-13lbs this weekend aswell. Thanks again.

Gotta have that air filter! I went to taco bell one night and was wondering why my car was backfiring so much more than usual, was having to idle the motor by the gas pedal. Forgot to put my air filter back on after washing it lmao

Another thing with it...my JWT ecu says its for 740cc injectors. Its got 750cc injectors.lol Oh well though. I set the fuel pressure to 43.5 for 3 bar.
