Is this normal? Dogbone / Avenir related
Hello All,

So im just finishing up my AVENIR swap and know that you have to either
buy a custom steel mount or modify the stock dogbone bracket and use a mount like Miko's (which I purchased and fits like a champ!)

My question is I had to grind the OEM bracket to fit which I know is normal and
I did, After I grinded it I was able to bolt to the block perfect.

Painted the bracket, Mounted it and installed Miko's new dogbone.

I know its a tight fit but is my turbo suppose to be basically touching the mount like it is in the pics below? I cannot even attach my compressor outlet
its like 1mm too close so I cant line up one screw. The motors fully bolted in perfect with ES Mounts on all 4 corners + new Crossmember bushings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can button up my build.

Thanks,

Id love to do that as it appears clocked down too much maybe, How do I do that? Just loosen the bolts on the compressor side of the housing?

Take it off completely or loosen all the bolts move and re-tighten the bolts?

If anyone knows the exact process I would greatly appreciate it. Going to start intercooler plumbing / Intercooler mounting soon!

Thanks again for all the helpful info.

To rotate the compressor housing there are bolts on the CHRA that hold down semi-circle clamps that you need to loosen (just a bit). When you loosen the bolts, the circular clamps loosen and the compressor housing should rotate freely pretty easily. Get it where you want it, then tighten the bolts down again.

In some rare older turbos the housings can't be rotated except for in 6 specific angles and the bolts come all the way out and there are no clamps. But I'm 99% sure none of the turbos we deal with are like that.
