OK, folks, I am beginning to think its the LC1 itself that is faulty

I have no wired it up to 3 different 12V source and 3 different grounds (for a total of 6 combinations) and nothing. Also, I have wired up the LED directly to ground (black wire to one end and other end of LED to a common ground. I have even swapped the cathod/anode around to make sure I did not make a mistake)

And nothing.

I also connected the new USB = DB9 windows 7 capable cable and it still does not recognize it.

Keo, I sent you a text. Can you possibly get back to me this evening?? I have a few questions to ask

Thanks for all the help guys!!

I got one of these using my Asus eeepc, works perfectly, because its got the good chip in it.

USB to Serial Adapter RS232 DB9 FTDI PALM GPS ies | eBay

Hopefully its not the LC1 that is faulty, but i wouldn't rule it out!

Ok, Update

I grabbed a DMM from work and measured some voltage

EDIT: One sec while I upload pictures............

Something does not seem right here..........I even wired up the led DIRECTLY to each source and it did not light up at all.

Am I missing something here?? The radio works flawlessly as well, FYI

Thanks

This is the reading in mV from the cig lighter

SO now, I am at a lose..........If anyone has any ideas, please, voice your opinion

I remeasured the the voltage at the cigarette lighter and it measured .2 Volts..........

Something is going here or I am just doing it wrong..........

Is that 7.2 millivolts? And is that AC millivolts you're measuring? Or have you hit the orange button so it measures DC?

Something ain't right here.

I measured the DC voltage and it measured .2 Volts
It was 7.2 mv in AC

I am at the point where
a) I think I am doing something worng
or
b) Something else aint right (LOL)

Check voltage at the cigarette lighter fuse holder.

I hear ya Ben. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until tomorrow. It just began to come down pretty heavy outside just now.........

Also to note: I checked voltage across the switched 12V and ground of the stereo and got the same results (is that is worth anything)

That is more than odd....

Update:

Ben I will be checking out the voltage today when I get home

Also, if I cannot find a 12V source, I will be taking it into work an use an independent power supply just to see if it works.........I will update when I do
