Thread: GTIR To4B compressor housing upgrade

Is this the housing I would need to upgrade the compressor housing?

Compressor housing for GT2860RS with 60mm 62 trim wheel : atpturbo.com

Or this one?

Compressor housing for GT2871R with 71mm 56 trim wheel : atpturbo.com

My searching on here didnt come back with many relevant results.

It's the S14 t28 housing.

Where can I find something like that? Any sites out there?

you need a gt28r aka GT2560r aka S14 T28 housing, the Disco housing won't work.

A disco wheel should fit the gtir since both turbine shaft is 6mm. But finding a wheel may be a problem. Might contact ATP to see if thy can get the gt28r housing.

That also means a gt2871 wheel and housing should fit too!

I managed to find one of these housing a few months back. Be prepared - it's a HUGE pain in the arse to get the the adapter plate off for the housing. You'll need a nice strong pair of snap-ring pliers, or a lot of patience and some creative thinking.

Here is a picture of the S14 housing I purchased from a member, you can see it is a little bigger in some areas. It definitely spools nice and top-end seems to have benefited from it.

so all i need is the s14 t28 housing? if soo cool because i have one laying around..!

And the adapter ring that is held on by a snap ring on the turbo cartridge. It uses a different adapter/flange (I'm not exactly sure what to call it...) than the standard GTi-R T28 housing.

Oh damn.. all I have is the housing.. any idea on where I can get the adapter/flange for it?
