Thread: Iacv issues with blow-through setup

if you have an 02 induction screw the iacv you dont need that. i never ever had the iacv hooked up on any of my cars and they idled mint. You can udjust your idle on the TB itself

I can get the idle ok but the CEL is on because the sensor isn't working correctly. Ot needs to be off for my car to pass inspection

well you only need to pass inspection once in a while so just use one for that time and thats it

Here are a couple pictures of my setup. You can see my MAF in relation to the TB and piping, and you can see the IACV on the left of the intake manifold.



In this picture, this is the location of the inlet hose going to the IACV. PS.....don't mind the JB weld on the MAF, that's the only thing that would work sealing it LOL.



I really don't think it's anything with the routing, I believe it's all set up properly. Any idea's?

Sorry I missread your post then . When you were draw through what was different about the cold piping?

I actually never had it setup as draw through.

Ok, do you have an AAC valve in there? it should be charge pipe before TB to AAC to IACV then other side of IACV goes to intake manifold.

Are you talking about the FICV, the one that is open during cold start only? I am running one yes, it has it's own inlet hose which is right behind the hose you can see in the second picture and then goes to the intake manifold. I am running both valves but they have separate inlet and outlet hoses.

That is your problem.

AAC is the Auxiliary Air Controller, or the actual Idle controller valve.

FICV is the Fast Idle Control Valve, only used by the AC

What Coach is talking about is the the IACV Air Regulator, which is only used for cold starting. It should be inline with the charge pipe and right before AAC valve.
