Again, I know turbo hondas that have ran 11's on stock clutches. It's not your hp rating that is the concern it's your torque. Most hondas just don't make enough to need a REAL clutch which is why they can get away with pos knock off clutches. Once u make any tq u will need a gd clutch. For instance , my sr20 is making 323whp/290wtq my buddies b18 is making 590whp,290wtq. He has tons more power but makes the same tq. I have had to switch to a clutch masters fx500 while he I still running a act full face.

XTD stage 2 clutch and thier lightweight flywheel. GREAT for the price. I have had no issues with mine at all! running for 2 years now. On the other hand i have a ACT in my other car and it has lasted for..... about 8 YEARS!!!!! with no signs of slipping (but man the pedal is still stiff lol).

Hum ok... still no defenitive answer or conclusion... damn... so many diferent opinions...

I think i´ll give up on importing one, and do what the diesel guys do... and send the stock one to reinforce... there´s good results on that... apparently they can hold good and support good torque numbers... from what i´ve been told they replace the friction material on the disc and calibrate the whole setup... this guys work mainly for trucks and Heavy duty machinery, but the TDI guys been using them for years now... with great sucess...

Yesterday i called this company, GBS, they quoted me 200€ for a reinforcement... not cheap...

DO NOT GET XTD!!!!!!!!!!!! I Got one and tried returning it for warranty since it slipped after breaking in (stage 3 kit on i/h/e DE) and the fuck nut guy stopped responding to me... I can't leave negative feedback or anything because its been more than 3 months. DO NOT BUY XTD. I'm about to go down to LA and pay the guy a visit..

It seems in 2007/2008 when XTD appeared there wore alot of mishaps, with loose springs, clutch sliping and such, but on more recent reviews they seem to be ok(for the most)... it´s like russian roulette... some ppl are luky some aren´t... and i´m on a really tight budget... on top of the clutch i have to pay shipping to europe and 23%taxes...

The question is: what´s the best budget clutch????

XTD or clutchmaster? (nissan guys seem to prefer the Clutchmaster and Honda guys seem to prefer the XTD) Any first person input on these would be greatly apreciated...

They´re both about the same price, and both rated to 250BHP, being the clutchmaster a sprung 6 puck...

No definitive answer? Post number 19 said it the best. I just put that clutch in my car with less than 1500 miles and the clutch is slipping already. I took the risk because I am fully capable of doing my own clutch jobs. .

I do my own clutch install... i´m a mechanic by trade, and i´m not cheap... i research everything very carefully before i spend my hard hearned money...

I would never consider going cheap on a project like this, but on the search trough out the "internets"(lol) the ocasional good reviews made me consider it...

And also i´m from Europe, so not much parts available, and i have to consider shipping +23%plus taxes... and i repeat, i´m not cheap...
