XTD stg2 or Clutchmaster stg2, please help
Before you tell me to go search, i did, quite alot, and more confused i got... that´s alot of mixed reviews... even on another make forums...

It seems in 2007/2008 when XTD appeared there wore alot of mishaps, with loose springs, clutch sliping and such, but on more recent reviews they seem to be ok(for the most)... it´s like russian roulette... some ppl are luky some aren´t... and i´m on a really tight budget... on top of the clutch i have to pay shipping to europe and 23%taxes...

The question is: what´s the best budget clutch????

XTD or clutchmaster? (nissan guys seem to prefer the Clutchmaster and Honda guys seem to prefer the XTD) Any first person input on these would be greatly apreciated...

They´re both about the same price, and both rated to 250BHP, being the clutchmaster a sprung 6 puck...

I'm on both sides. Clutch masters seems to be holding up better than xtd overall. Xtd works on Hondas simply because they don't make enough torque to tighten a lugnut.

I would go with the clutchmasters setup.

I have been using the xtd clutch you posted for 3 going on 4 years. I even reinstalled it after I swapped motors. I am not always easy on my car and commute alot.

That being said my car is also n/a with bolt ons.

Ahahahaha that´s actually pretty funny...

Vex630 had the kindness to reply via PM, and gave me a pretty good ideia...

The stg4 has a stronger pressure plate, but unfortunatly a unsprung 6 puck, that i hate, because i tried unsprung clutches on 2 ocasions and hated them...

So would it be possible to mix and match? like a stg4 PP with a stg2 disc, would XTD brake 2 kits for me? Are they a chinese type brand?

Or possibly i could buy a Stg4 clutch and mount a carbon/kevlar disc from another brand, or possibly even a OEM will hold with the stronger PP...

By the way it´s a sr20de+t and the turbo it´s possibly a s14 t28, i´ll be happy with 220bhp figure, and preferebly high on the rpm range...

No first hand on eclutchmaster, but I have heard BAD things about them. If you can just get a clutchmasters clutch, it is your safest bet. Why spend money on something twice when you can buy it once.

Sorry to give u the bad news but I didn't even hard shift it cause I wanted to break in the flywheel n clutch. Me not running it hard and it still failed made me think this company is garbage. the best impression is the first one and they failed badly. Called to get my refund and they refused to. Wanted me to bust a mission send it back wait for them to look at it and send me another one on the only car I had at the time. Was not gonna happen. Wait 2 weeks for them to get me another ?!? I got another clutch asked for my refund ad they did not want yo give me my money back.
