Yes, looks the same on the other side. Sorry, I never took pics of the other side.

Ben what are your thoughts on JWT Aluminum flywheel for 2871r or bigger?

I like light flywheels period. If it means a JWT unit on a medium or large turbo, then great. I like them because they make the engine livelier, they make heel-toe shifting and all rev matching much easier. These are things I value a lot.
They do tend to cause traction issues on turbo cars because they allow more power to reach the road. If you were struggling for traction before at low rpm you will be worse off with the flywheel. I can live with that. I found a pedal on the floor to the right of the driver's foot well that seems to control the power output of the engine, so I use it to control the increased likelihood of wheel spin. If you're not familiar with that pedal, you might want to stick with a heavier flywheel*.

The light flywheel is tied for the second best mod I've ever done. I can't imagine life without it, turbo or no.

*And in some cases, strictly speaking, you will be able to obtain faster ETs at the strip with a heavier flywheel because humans are only so good with their right foot.

mirrotints, did you ever get this issue solved?

It was my passenger axle. Broke at the hub. Clutch feels almost like stock, but I'm still breaking it in.

Ya i've heard they are pretty inconsitent at the track. Which i'm not to worried about. I had one in an NA car and loved it but never a boosted car. I'm more worried about it causing lag issues with not having the same load.

That is not a worry Sith. There is no truth in that statement. It is such a convoluted myth I won't get into it right now. Just think about it. A light flywheel will help you accelerate and move through the rpm range quicker. End of story. What do you care if you don't build a single psi? You're still accelerating quicker.

Oh no! I'm accelerating too fast! Too fast to build any boost! How will I ever get moving without any boost?!

so what would your opinions be on keeping the competition clutch pressure plate and put in an ACT Disc? or a whole act kit be best?

Sorry I never got back to you Sith. You still up the air about this?
