Question about aem ems for my se-r
A friend of mine has a AEM EMS sitting at his shop that has been there for some time now. He believes it came out of a Honda but isn't sure. You can clearly see that a Nissan engine harness wouldn't plug up to it. I've looked all around the unit for a model number of some sort but came up empty. One the AEM website it is shown as the PLUG & PLAY EMS (SILVER & YELLOW).

So my question is do they make a harness for Nissan's to plug into this type of EMS?

Nope, you're not going to find a hybrid Honda/Nissan harness to plug into it. You could make your own by getting a Honda harness and stealing the plugs from it, or getting the plugs some other way.
The Honda method of ECU harness plug attachment is so much more preferable to the Nissan method it might not be a bad idea if you're handy with wiring.

Thanks for the input. I spoke to AEM and confirmed that it is a Honda EMS and they say that people have used them on Nissans before although they don't encourage it. So I decided that I'm going to take on the project and make a Honda/Nissan jumper harness. I've already looked up both pinout diagrams and will be looking for a obd2 Nissan ecu to steal the plug in from.

If anyone has a obd2 ecu they have sitting let me know. It doesn't have to be a sr so I dont waste a good ecu.

Might I recommend you skip making an adapter and just go straight to grafting the Nissan harness to the Honda ECU plugs? The Nissan plug is an awkward design and it would be nice to avoid it. Also, it might not look like a lot of work to make a harness adapter, but it is quite a bit of work. It is twice as much work as just grafting the things together, not to mention the extra materials you'd need. I've made a harness adapter once, and I will not do that again. Keep it simple.

Have you thought about trading the ECU for a Nissan SR20 one? Or selling it and buying the Nissan one? That sounds way easier to me...

I have thought of trading and selling it but I don't know any Honda guys and am not familiar with Honda forums to ask. Do you know of any? As far as grafting the Honda plugs I wouldn't want to eliminate my Nissan plug incase later down the road I'd need to plug in my ECU.

You might be able to trade the EMS on the AEM forums.

You'll probably have good luck selling it on Honda Tech.

One thing I noticed about running a Honda EMS is that it wouldn't have a MAF setting but it does have a MAP setting. Where would I run the AEM MAP sensor to on the manifold? Would there be anything that I need to do in order to remove the MAF?
