Yeah try unplugging the MAF and see how it goes.

Ok, months later I got around to messing with the POS. Unplugging MAF did not work. Nothing will work I've tried the water method which pretty much causes a steam clean effect on the car and it didn't really work as I thought or I was doing it wrong. Only thing I can think of is the intake valves are messed up, But not bad enough to mess it up while warm since it's only cold something is expanding and sealing while warm. If not this maybe IACV since it only effects cold idle also. I am so lost. Will also have to look at the CTS I guess.

Mine does EXACTLY THE SAME THING. Are you running a 4bar fuel program??? I am and that is what is causing to do that. I have to warm up my car for 5mins at least. Many friends told me that their JWT ecu tuned for 4bar did the same thing to their cars and they were told to warm it up for 5mins. It stutters and won't speed up unless after 4k rpm. Trust me, I started to warm up my car now cause of this, because the last time I didn't, I almost got hit by an oncoming car due to it not wanting to speed up. I can show you a video also of what exactly mine does and its just like yours. Also, the way I was taught my a nissan tech that is really good with motors, you can tell if your valve seals are messed up by opening the oil cap and you will see a lot of smoke due to oil leaking into the valves and burning, or even if you blow out blue smoke out of your exhaust of course.

Exact same issue. JWT ECU. But Mine still had a cold issue when I was running my Calum. Just not backfiring through the intake.

I just started to realize mine is back firing a lot through the exhaust during shifting through gears after it warms up. This just started to happen about 2 months ago and I did notice I'm killing gas so much I opened up a gas mileage thread. I'm getting like 160 miles per TANK! And it never did this before. The only thing I can think of it backfiring through the exhaust is my bov is not recirculated(but I never had this problem til recently) or my bov is leaking because I can hear it whistle for like 10secs after it releases air and I'm on the peddle already. I also started to noticed, unless everyone has the same problem, once I hit only 10% throttle my wideband reads 10.8-11.7. So if I was on the highway, and there is a slight slope, I run rich as hell until its flat ground again or going down.

I'm gonna try to get my calum back to see if it changes anything, letting a buddy borrow.

My engine doesn't backfire, but it bogs down pretty bad just as the car comes up to temp. Like right when the needle starts to move, the engine runs like poop. Full-cold it is fine. Fully warm it is fine. In-between it runs like poop. So I just use that time to baby it for the most part. Or just boost through it, get some heat in, then it stops.

Same here, right around the temps that the fuel maps switch I get the same. It never happened before for years with the 3 BAR fuel pressure only after JWT re-flashed my ECU for the 4 BAR fuel pressure.

I wonder if JWT or someone could just take the cold maps out entirely and fix this?

yea its cause of the 4bar program why it does it. when its tuned for 4bar. My buddy told me a while ago thats what JWT told him and this was years ago.
