I used to use a lightning maf. Then tried one from a cobra. I finally settled on an E60. I've ran all of them blow-through. Why, what's up?

The cobra maf I had was aluminum body, and plastic sensor. Same as the stock de and det mafs. I'd really like to have one that is ALL aluminum, but since I sealed up the E60 pretty good it's held pressure up to 18 psi.

As far as the maf itself, it should be fine no matter if you run draw-thru or blow-thru. Just make sure it's sealed up good for blow-thru.

These if you can get your hands on one but N60 is essentially the same thing and usually easier to get and cheaper.

There's an Infiniti J30 with an E60 on it at a junkyard here. If anyone would be interrested in it, I'd pull it as long as the buyer reimburses me for the part and shipping. Not sure what they charge, but it's usually not much. I saw it a few weeks ago and was going to get it for a spare, but I left it.

$120-150 for a new Lightning MAF and another $60 for the plate to put it into a 3" pipe looks way cleaner blow through.

Also there is the slot style maf

Someone on the nistune sight got there car running with this one too.
