Clutch options for 450whp
Well my spec pressure plate just took a crap on me so now I'm in the market for a clutch. I was looking at two different clutches. I'm not sure the difference In the two. Maybe someone else could help me out.

The first one will not work as it is a larger clutch as found in the RWD & GTiR vesions of the DET!

At that level, the only clutch that will work and will take the abbuse is the Twin Disc from either SPEC or Clutchmasters.

you could go with a clutch master stage 5 setup as well. the clutch masters setup will hold more power but does not use a sprung disk.

Really? I just looked into it and it said on their website that it is a race only clutch with instant on and off (That sounds scary) lol!! Did you daily drive or street drive this clutch?

I have the FX500 on my sr'd s13. Granted I have a hydraulic clutch but I can tell you that yes if you pop the clutch there is instant engagement but you get used to your engagement point and feather the throttle and then it is just like any other clutch. And it will hold pretty much anything you throw at it.

Then go for it. I drive my car on the street at least a couple of times a week. Took a minute to get used to such a harsh clutch but it is easy.
