The turbo saga continues... had a s14 t28 under the radar, when i lost it for a day or so... damn... never hesitate, when it appears jump on it... my advice to you all, specially if it´s rare...
So on the market for a used turbo again... when i speak to a friend that has an almost new WRX td05H-16g sitting on his garage for 2 years, and is willing to sell to me dirt cheap... hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
So the search went on and that what i found out:
The turbo is rated at 350bhp/580cfm VS 390cfm(S14) 465cfm(.86 GTIR t28), so big turbo like i want to... good size for a 2.0
The specs are:
48ind/68exd compressor .49a/r VS 47ind/60exd compressor .60a/r (gti-r t28)
49ind/56exd turbine 7cm2(=0.49a/r) VS 47ind/53exd turbine .86a/r (gti-r t28)
So a bit bigger turbine and compressor wheels than a gti-r t28 but with smaller a/r´s... what that translate in a real world situation? less top end?(due to smaller a/r´s)
The flange is no problem, as i don´t mind fabricating an adapter plate and other parts, in fact i quite like the challenge...
