yeah i messed up on that. Lean or too little timing will cause high egts. I spaced on that post.

Dont need to ask why. It should be pretty obvious.

Breakin will be consisted of a couple heat cycles on the motor while I tune the out of boost stuff. Couple short drives will take care of that keeping it below 5k but building some boost to seat the rings. It wont take me long to tune the out of boost stuff. Changing the Valvoline 5w30 conventional out to Mobil 1 15w50 and mobil 1 filter and then its going to the dyno.

Good luck with getting the build ready for the convention! Hopefully everything goes smooth and you get what you want out of this. Are you still using the AEM tuner for the dyno tuning or are you doing all of the tuning yourself?

Im using AEM Pro along with AEM Data for logging. Im doing all the out of boost tuning myself as there is nothing to it but im having the help of Jorge from JMS Racing out of San Antonio do the wot tuning. Ive got it down of what im doing but I still want the help of someone who has tuned 900+whp cars before just to be safe. Ill be working right along side him though.

HMMM why not just let him do everything?? When I had my AEM i took care of the fuel side of things but was too chicken shit to mess with the timing part, I wanna learn it so bad lol

Because i know what im doing both fuel and timing side of things. My last setup was not damaged due to my tuning although if i had the safety features enabled that i didnt know wernt it might have saved the damage but more than likely not. It was a big issue with my fuel pressure regulator.

I have no doubt i could tune the car myself but again wanted the help of a professional who is used to tuning high hp cars because I didnt want to take any chances. As for drivability and out of boost, that is easy as hell to tune.
