Thread: New setup and build....Updated 5/25/12...723whp!!!!!!

I have a dyno appointment friday morning. I have a lot to do tomorrow in order to make it. I just hooked my 16v battery up and set my ignition timing and made sure everything was working properly triggering ignition which it was. Im waiting on my flange to show up, got my catch can to finish and my exhaust and dump pipe to make and it will be ready to fire up.

Projects like this should never be rushed.Looks good either way.

Probably going to have to cancel and reschedule. There is just too much to do and this waiting on parts is killing me. If things were made the way they should have been it would have been done by now.

yeah ashton, i wouldn't rush this project man.. convention or not i dont think its worth exploding.

i know you have to go back to wherever it is you work soon, but take your time an do it right.

i really do hope you get it done an tuned in time for the convention so you can have some fun with them east coast boyz

Oh it will be tuned before the convention probably just not friday. Might get done during the week. Not sure yet.

I grew up with Paul , Sick SETUP and ashton can be right there im sure... Was just making note of the headlight intake setup.

Way to put in work, Ashton! I can't wait to see the end result with some videos. I am sure the anticipation is killing you as you were In Afghanistan for a while but you'll get there and all in good time.

Here are a couple pics from today. What im waiting on to finish up is my intake manifold which im waiting on the Q45 throttle body flange to come in so I can have it welded on and then finish up the cold side piping. Gotta pick up some piping to do the exhaust, gotta do the catch can and install the upper coolant neck once it gets done being rewelded, and install all my vac lines.

Other than that, I set the base ignition timing and had to adjust the hall sensor a bit for it to register stat sync correctly and give an engine speed. Its back on all 4.



Got the 16 volt battery in and charged up. Added some ground wires.
