im sure his a good manifold fabricator and im sure his manifolds perform really well and im in no way doubting his skills or his work (so please dont take what im saying the wrong way), im just saying it would of been better if the injector boss was closer to the cylinder head

when i made my quad throttle sr20vet inlet manifold i had the flange machined up on a 2D CNC machine which meant it couldnt drill into the flange on an angle which meant i had to do that myself which i did to save myself money

as u can see from the picture the injector boss was welded in instead of machined in i went through all this just to have my injectors as close to the cylinder head as i could

HYPERTUNE will be releasing a sr20VET billet inlet manifold shortly
here is their 4g63 inlet manifold which will look some thing like the sr20vet manifold

nicely placed injectors

Yours looks well built ashton, ur boosted so at the end of the day the overall size is what I believe really matters.

By the way kinsler is the shit, id die for a set of itbs for a ve .

its mostly when you have slower air speeds inside the inlet manifold where u will notice the difference
i used the standard P12 sr20 flange, basically all i did was mill it down

nicely place injectors

Which makes perfect sense. Since its a drag car its not gonna see much lower inlet air speeds. I see what your saying and not taking it the wrong way. Its sound advice and there is a reason a lot of fab companies do it. Because it works. That 4g63 manifold is a work of art. Id hate to even put it onto a motor its soo nice. But nice stuff like that costs money. Like I said, James is able to drop his manifold prices down from 1600 to about 1100-1200 just by ditching the very expensive flange. He makes everything in house on his own cnc machine. The design of that flange took a long time and the material cost to make it and time to make it was just not worth the slightly better lowend performance. That was something that was tested before the final say in it was done.

But its all about staying competitive in the business. Best bang for the buck. There is more people willing to spend 1100 on a very nice still piece of art intake manfiold than say 2000 or so on an even more work of art with a slightly better lowend performance. Either way. Its all good man. You know your stuff as well. I believe the Kinsler piece is up in the 2000+ price range and which is why there is not many people even in the honda community running them. Its just a very pricey piece.

oh if its a full all out drag car i dont see how it would matter as much because you would most likely be using your launch controller at the lights so u will be already on boost even sitting there at the lights ready to take of and as soon as u do your already on boost

yeah the hypertune manifolds range from $2000 as well and nots not even including a throttle body and fuel rail yet but there are always people out their with the budget to buy stuff like that i just wish i could as well

how much longer till u get your car going? we dont get many serious front wheel drive sr20vets here

my mate just recently built a rear wheel drive s13 sr20vet with a similar turbo to yours
precision built to custom specs
it made 586kW / 785hp at the rear wheels

Yeah, i saw that post. Was he still on a stock sleeve block? I posted that in the thread but no reply. Anyways im in Afghanistan right now till probably end of March of next year. So after I get back and after a nice vacation im gonna get started on it. Gathering parts while over here. The manifold was a good deal and couldnt pass it up. The rest of the stuff im waiting till closer to when i get back to order. But yeah, gonna use the t4 6765 w/ .96 open housing. Should flow plenty enough for the ve and give me the powerband i want. With the SR16 non n1 cams it should hold power out to 9500 fairly easily which is what i plan to do. I want a powerband from at least 6000-9500. And that should very easily be accomplished.

But yeah off the line on the anti lag i should be building about 7-10psi of boost with the two step at 6400 rpm. Im looking to make 700-750whp. Which will be on the limits of the injectors. Injectors should max out somewhere around 775-800whp on C16

700-750 WHP and 800 WHP on C16!

Nice numbers but we still have an issue...

hypertune is the bee's knee's! they will put soo much r&D into it and it will perform, but it is going to set you back a lot of coin. I think they have been doing r&d on it for a long time now. They have a name to uphold so they cant sell something that will not perform. Not for someone who even uses the word budget!

Ive spent alot of coin. Nothing on my car is "budget".

Im assuming they have a website, ill research them this week.
