Wow that does not look like it will clear. I'm sure you will make it happen.

Stay safe over there.

yeah it will clear, the only thing it will possibly hit is that little shelf approximately 6" from the top of the firewall. Other than that its got room. I have a nice 3 1/2"-3" coupler to go from the Q45 TB that will clear the MC just fine as well. The tb position is about the same as my DE manifold just sits lower. The biggest concern was the plenum clearing the firewall which ive now verified it will. Just gonna be a tight fit for sure.

Dang and I thought my o2Induction intake manifold was huge. That's just flat out MASSIVE.

Hey its looking good, let me know how it turns out for you

As to the injectors further upstream:

This is actually better for all out power rather than spraying directly on the valve. The reason that factory engines spray right on the valve is for low and part throttle response and air atomization. Any engine that is not worried by such things will benefit from injectors further upstream (mainly drag motors and top speed motors). They will benefit because injectors further upstream will give better fuel atomization (under full throttle) and will help cool down the air/fuel mixture more.

Now when it comes to producing a piece I have to look at several things.
Mainly it is price vs performance for me. A fancy billet headflange with injector in stock location costs 5x more to produce than a 1/2" headflange. When my primary clients are drag guys who don't give a crap about low end then it is only logical to save them a nice chunk of change AND give them more power Now when I am doing things for road race clients or guys who prefer a more streetable setup, I will put the injector back in factory location...

Nice to see you joined. I cant wait to test it out. There are a couple other small issues but nothing Im not working around or care about. One is the clearance to the firewall is going to be super close with it and I will have to knock down that little shelf you can see in my pic of the catch can install that is about 6" down from the top of the firewall.

The other one is because there is no angle upwards of the runners, the plenum sits directly in front of the outlet port for one of the heater hoses again nothing im concerned about and Ill just be capping it and calling it a day but it doesnt leave room for a hose to fit on there. Other than that, the manifold looks awesome and should clear everything else like the master cylinder just fine as it sits lower than it anyways and with the slight angle forward its plenty with use of a 45 deg 3-3.5" coupler that im using.

If you were to put a slight upward angle on the runners, you would clear the coolant pipe just fine and if you made the runners an inch shorter everything would clear without questions. James again thank you for the great manifold and its awesome and turned out great. Again you couldnt have forseen these other issues without having a motor on hand so no biggie and for me it will get the job done. If others would like to have a manifold made like this one I would suggest making those changes to make it headache free.

Well got my Racing Hart Cybers back from my buddy and had a good friend of mine with insanely good painting skills work them over for me. Matte black lip w/ Bronze centers.

The two rears will get some brand new 205/50/15 Falkens and the fronts will be getting some 235/50/15 bfg drag radials on them. Be ready for some Drag Radial fun Rob, of course after I destroy everyone on slicks first.

Also I decided to give in and go ahead and get a sleeved block done by Mazworx. Gonna have them do a full sleeve job on the ve block im sending them with their stepped deck for forced induction use, 1/2" headstud machine work, and keeping the bore and hone at 86mm. Cant wait. Block should be sent to them within the next couple weeks once my buddy dissasembles the motor.

Bronze looks good!!

Did you give any thought to going 88mm since you are resleeving?

I want to keep it simple. Right now there is no good headgasket option for 88mm other than to have the vet one machined out. I dont want to do that. I can make the power I want on a 2.0L and dont mind doing it that way even though it will take a little more boost to do so. No biggie. Ill have a 1000+whp capable bottom end including the block now so no worries. I plan to keep it simple as I can. Ill be using the vet metal headgasket with this build as mazworx doesnt make a grommet headgasket for the 86mm bore so the next best option is the vet gasket. With the stepped deck and 1/2" studs. The head isnt going anywhere. lol.

I have been throwing options around in my mind about keeping the stock block and possibly having it machined for copper o-rings to help in case of any head lift to prevent the gasket from blowing out. But I figured if im gonna spend close to half on machine work locally why not just have the block sleeved and machined by Mazworx. Its a win win situation. Cost me a little more but now there is no doubts about the entire bottom end of this build. My goals will be reached.

Yeah one of my favorite wheels up there with 6uls and a select few of others and with the new color combo they will go great with the color of my car. I love em and was glad to get them back. Im gonna have my Weld Magnum centers sprayed to match the bronze as well. Gotta lot of nice things coming for the engine bay as well. Its gonna be as clean as it is fast. Once im in texas I wont have to worry about the 100 lbs of sand piling up on the car while it sits. haha
