Well the pump didnt explode, it just had some unusual wear on the gear and housing.
Definitely doing an ATI balancer. That should help avoid any problems with the oil pump, that and not revving past 10k again. I really dont need to, I just need to shift my powerband down a bit which the bb 6768 will do. At 9700 rpm with 24.5" slicks my 4th gear will take me to 162mph and thats not counting for any tire growth which usually youll get about 1/2" at those speeds. I plan to hit 160 traps when Its back out. No question and 9's will come. The car with the power it has was enough to hit a 9.6-9.7 at 155mph on a good pass. Just didnt happen.
Ive got some key changes that will give the motor much more reliability at these power levels.
