Sorry if it was asked, where are you mounting the plate?

Definitely a fan of the Mil Spec connector. Wanted to do it myself, but just never got around to it......I guess we will have to have a battle of the tucked bays thread!

My set-up has changed also, but can't let any pics out just yet

Your bay is way cleaner than mine not to mention shaved and all that. Mine will be clean as hell with the stuff I have planned and you wont see a single wire except for the injector clips, im even rerouting my power and grounds to tuck those.

But it will still be super clean but not near as clean as yours. I have two gaping holes in my bay from intercooler setups from the past. One will be covered by the battery tray being im keeping the odessey battery in the bay tucked in the corner kinda like QuickSR20's bay and the other side will be empty with the gaping hole. The bay theme though with color and charge pipe setup is going to be nice though.

Ashton, it sounds like you have plans to paint the bay. Why not weld something in the hole before you paint it up?

Wire harness looks great. I like it! I'd love to do something like that at some point for mine. Do you mind sharing how much that ran you?

No car has already been repainted so its too late for that. Its not a big deal to me as one will be covered the other im not sure what im going to do with it. I might cover it with a custom coolant overflow tank or something along those lines.

As for the cost, the Mil spec connector kit from Chase Bays was 285.00 to my door, i got a hell of a deal from a local shop on the braided loom and large heat shrink, had to buy a new heat gun, and purchase some more smaller heat shrink, so all in all probably around 330 for everything and about 6 hours of work to do it. That did not account for removing all the stock wire loom as that was done before from the last tuck but did have to remove a bunch of electrical tape and clean the wiring up.

Eh, not on these connectors, If you have seen the ford fuel lines and how they connect, these pins basicly secure inside the connector the same way. You have to have a full wrap around tool that goes around the pins to lift the securing clips and allow the wire/pin to pull out inside it. The screwdriver would have worked pretty well to install them by pushing on the back of the pin but thats about it.

I like the tuck work so far. I really have to do something with my wiring mess. But hey, it is just confusing enough that people don't look around too much. comes in handy come inspection time lol.

Got my CF trunk installed. It is one of the original trunks from way back that has no webbing or supports. The lightest ones available. Not the greatest fitting trunk but its not too bad. I can probably oval out the latch holes some to get it to come down just a tad more. As far as gaps go, they are pretty even all the way around. It just needs to close down just a bit more and I already have the latches adjusted to close down as far as they will go. But it is by far lighter than the stock by about 20 lbs i would bet.
