Why would the haters stick around?? He did'nt blow up and nothing catastrophic happened to the car! It's sad to say but most of the people in here wanted to see something bad happen, they been ragging on ashton all throughout his different setups and builds but this time the joke's on them. Congratulations again Ashton to you and your family all that time away and blood, sweat and tears finally paid off. I'm out of this thread now I posted in here way too much lol.

I say congrats on the occasion.

I never heard of ashton and his work until people were poking fun at him.

Perseverance > hating

Thanks for the awesome live dyno session last night. Good luck and see ya at the Convention.

I really dont get why I got ragged on so much. I had a nice simple built setup although I used some parts most wouldnt use but it worked and made great power and was a daily driven reliable setup that went 11.1 on only 24 lbs and then went 7.1 @108mph in the 1/8th with a bogged launch on 30 lbs.

I blew up a lot of jdm motors way back with my t25 because i kept pushing it too hard. Then kinda rushed my last setup and had issues out of my control that caused issues but my impatience got the best of me.

Well patience, slow and steady wins the race and you definately reaped the benifits this time. Good luck with the runs and everything on the car man!

For those wondering about the 16v battery and how it held up. My little puny slow charger would not keep up. I had the battery fully charged when we started and it lasted about 30-35 minutes of the car running before the voltage dropped just below 14v. We then decided to switch out my charger for one of his and kept the 12v charger set at 40 amp setting the entire time, its output voltage was 15.8 and battery voltage remained at 15.8 the entire time on the dyno without any problems.

The ems is using the battery voltage offset and its working perfectly as he set that prior to doing the charger on all the time. Realisticly fully charged I will see 17.2 volts, with the car on and running, about 16.4 volts and it will go down from there. So 15.8 volts was a good number to tune at as far as battery voltage. Ill just have to charge up after each pass. I shouldnt see any lower than 14.8 volts and id imagine from fully charged and doing a run I will stay above 15 volts. Great system and works flawlessly and no belts at all to worry about.
