As mentioned earlier, the way our auxiliary idle control valve works, plumbing it before the turbo provides a large boost leak (until the car has fully warmed up and the valve closes). Maybe Honda's have a different style valve, or a one-way check valve to control flow, or maybe no auxiliary valve at all. The main idle control valve is probably okay to plumb where ever you want and maybe that's what is going on with the Hondas. On N/A MAP cars you can even give it its own filter if you want to avoid any hoses.
