Plenty of questions - what do I need for my goal? E85!
First off, I'm new around here - name's Robert, soon 25 year old guy from Sweden. I own a 1996 S14 kouki, with the SR20DET (blacktop) in it, of course Last setup made 398hp at the crank, and now for 2011, I'm stepping it up. But I'm still full of questions that I really hope you fine gentlemen can help me with!
First off, the 2011 spec looks like this (only mentioning parts thats relevant)
- Forged bottom-end, all ARP-bolts/studs, ACL race bearing etc. Std bore.
- Ported & polished head, combustion chambers, radius valve job etc.
- Crower springs, Crower stage 3 272 cams, new rockers etc
- GReddy intake (v1 that uses the stock runners), GReddy intercooler
- 1200cc FiveO/JECS injectors, Circuit Sports fuel rail
- Custom top mount manifold, TiAL 44mm WG, Precision SC5857SP turbo
- PowerFC w/ Commander and Datalogit, Z32 MAF, GReddy Profec B Spec2
- Walbro 255 intank and a Bosch 044 inline, but more on that below
That's the stuff I can remember to mention.
As the title says, I will be running E85, since it's readily available here in Sweden, and the SR20 seems to love it. My goal is 500 crank hp, and that shouldn't be a problem, but seeing as how I've spent all this money and come this far, I'd like to make sure my setup can make 500whp.
So here's where my questions come in:
- Fuel feed line and return line - what size do I need?
- My new rail has two feed holes on both ends of the rail, and one return in the middle of it. I've seen many other builds with dual feeds - is this neccessary? If so, what is the best way of using both? One line from the tank and then a Y-block or something?
- Will a 255lph walbro to an external 044 be enough? Or should I go for an intank 044 to another inline 044?
- Ignition! How much boost/hp can the stock coilpacks handle? How does the PowerFC work with other ignition types/setups? Is a ignition amplifier to the stock packs a good solution?
Those are my main concerns/thoughts for now, I really hope I can get some good info and help from you guys
