2.2-2.3l det?
Anyone have any thoughts on this? How big of a Forged piston can I stuff in there with the stock crank and a bored out block?

I have a DET block sitting here. I have no plans to go VE. So Im thinking of Boring out my Spare DET block and making a big bore DET if I can do it with a machine shop cheaply.

Exactly, you can already make as much power as you want on stock bore.

I've got a spare block sitting in the garage that will eventually be tested on it's limits as well johnny. Just have to order some pistons before I can take it to the machine shop. One of those go big or go home deals.

What's the downfall of a boosted and hugely bored motor stratton?

Over 90mm you might have issues with hg sealing properly with small area between bores with boost.

it would have to have a lot more low end grunt though wouldn't it? I mean before you reach full boost, and for that matter you'd just make more power more easily across the whole board.
