Thread: fuel problem i think need help!!!

hey i just put in a set of 520cc sti side feed injectors @ 43.5-44lb, cobra maf, and a recentl reprogramed jwt ecu for that set up. after i put all the new parts in the car started up great tuesday nit wensday and thursday. when i started it this morning it wouldnt stay running it sounded like it was babeling real bad and would die. but when i start to drive it would be fine wouldnt die or anything. when i left work it did the same thing but this time when i drive it it sounds like an sti and when i crouse and it in gear and my foots off the gas pedel it bake fires like crazy lound and it sounds like a semi auto gun going off. please if any one could help me that would be great

sounds like you are dumping fuel. what fuel pressure are you running 3 or 4 bar?

3 bar (43.5) thats what jwt said the 520cc sti injectors flow at and that what its programed for

what did you do to ''reprogram'' the ecu?

I had it sent out to jwt and had them do it I heard of some one els had some problems when they did the sti injector swap and the turned down fpr pressure and everything was fine when I tryed that it was the same as before

Check for leaky injectors and/or a vacuum leak.

do you have a wideband? also how old is your cts?
