Just because somebody can post doesn't mean they have a clue what they are posting about.

You are getting much better information here.

Are you confusing 20v and 20ve?

I was going to settle with a Log, but I might have to change my plans...

Gio is making over 450hp on his VE-T with his log manifold.

Wasn't Manny running a log also?

Maybe Coheed's issues go alot deeper than just "reversion". I have no issues with dips in power once the cams switch over on a log mani VET.

He was... made great power too.

They do... He used to also claim VET cams were the best too. Case of a little information is dangerous.

Manny was running a unequal legnth mani similar to a log but with slightly longer runner legnth ......Jemery ( Coheed ) needs a better methode of tunning his car ....or at least that is what I belive is one of his bigest problems ...but that is just me

Like mentioned Manny was running a one off manifold Bruce made for him. Pretty much just like Eric described. A good friend of mine currently owns and plans on using it on a DE-T.

As for Gio I always use his car as an example. He has ran 2.0 VE cams as well as SR16 cams and the car has always performed great. It's easily a 130 mph car. Thing is about Gio's car is the the tunning in on point. He has always had his car dialed in great. Yes I think it would do better with a nice manifold but, to say that it does not perform well with a log maifold is crazy. I rode in a the car a while back and I will say it ran fucking great.

As for Coheed that is a different subject. I just think that certain people read way into this car building game. Yes there are always better options but, that comes with everything.

To reinforce, detonation kills.

I would use DET rods, VET pistons and al thicker head gasket so you can drop the CR way down, that way you will be safer, also remember to add at least 550cc injectors and a big exhaust...

Some friends of mine have SR20VE+Ts and those are very fast cars and still are super daily driven cars... thanks god for the VVL!!!

Thing is, I don't want to install a log manifold if it's going to cause the weaker VE to detonate the first time I run it. I am fine with loosing 30-60whp with a log setup, but when I was told about problems with reversion, that concerned me a good bit.

So I wouldn't say it's reading too much into the car building game, I would say it's making smart choices and doing it right if possible.
