Thread: bov ???

ECU does not matter, unless you use a stand alone with a MAP. But that's not a concern on any Nissan ECU's.

If your MAF is on the intake of the turbo, then you need to recirculate. If your maf is on the pressure side of the piping, then you don't have to as long as the BOV is before the MAF.

Simple enough?

so if im running the bov right after the throttle body before the maf i need to recirculate?

what happens if you dont recirculate, In the 3 turbo setups I always ran the maf on the intake side of the turbo and never recirculated the BOV... never saw any issues that I could think of...

could cause a idling issue.

also between shifting it could go rich as its dumping off meter air. could cause stalling ect.

You should run a little rich like that when you (let off/blow off)

if your BOV was after the throttle body it would be on the intake manifold,

you guys need to stop fishing for yes or no answers and try to UNDERSTAND what a MAF sensor does, and what a BOV does, and how the placement will impact the system

It will run stupid rich, because BOV is open since there is vacuum holding it open. My car had 11:1 AFR's with slight throttle and like 13:1 idling with hose not recirculating

Do some research man, you need to understand the basics of the engine before you can even think about turbocharging it.
