30?? I never saw over 20, and only 12-15 with the s4 cams

A bit of an exaggeration, since you can't physically hit above 29.9 Hg - 29.9 is already deep vacuum no more vacuum after that

. I think 20-25 is more in check. Now mind you boost gauges are not always the most accurate...

Some of the bov companies make a valve that keeps the air from exiting the bov at idle... Under vacuum it sucks a plate closed over the end of the bov.

When I was venting to atmosphere, my car idled pretty bad and stalled sometimes. If I would push the bov closed it would idle right. So then I went to a recirculating setup and everything was fixed.
