think my walbro 255 went out. suggestions?
i drove my car a small ways from my moms house to my house, and on the wat the car started bucking and dying out. i got to my houe and tried to start it up but it wouldnt, just crank and crank, i check my fuel pressure gauge and i have all of 20psi MAX, turned the key on and off and still it like had to build up the fuel pressure to 20psi, something is definitly wrong.

also the fuel primes when it primes or if it primes at all its really quiet, before it was loud you could clearly hear the pump prime.

you guys think its a good guess to go ahead and replace the pump? or check elsewhere, i checked the fuse its good. the relay should be goood

Sounds like the pump. To be extra sure before ordering one you could get back there and check voltage at the plug to the pump. And check the resistance of the pump. Anyone know what resistance a good Walbro 255 HP pump should have?
If not, Walbro should be able to tell yah.

Yeah your lucky. Cause you can kill them if you run them out of gas! They arent like OEM where if you run out your good.

You had to replace the tank o-right though, right? Mine always expands too much to re-use..

Very true. The 255lph walbros are notorious for this. As long as you keep fuel in the tank it will last. Otherwise it will burn up and quick.

Sent from my phone. Who cares what it is, they all do it now-a-days.

Take the o-ring, cut it, overlap it, put the cover back on it and seal it up. No need to get a new one everytime. Ive done this forever and I always have correct pressure in my tank.
