DET Not Starting
Im Looking for this forum member. He sold me a sr20det highport thats not starting at all and is completely filthy insidevia dirt,rust crud!

Not starting at all? That sounds more like the installer. What's his user name?

No it starts its just tapping not majorly but enough to make me nervous...extremely nervous

Do you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge? Did you beat out the oil pan prior to installing and running?

Yes and Yes. Good way to kill an SR20 is let it starve on oil. Some oil pans are bent to the point that they are blocking the oil pickup.

yeh it deffinitely looks bent upward around the pickup. didnt pull it yet so not exactly sure if it is blocked(oil pickup) also Vadim i noticed it stays running and doesnt die. I dont want to start her again untill the oil issue is fixed. My question to you is where do i route my boost gauge to? Is it supposed to t off of where i hooked the vac line for wastegate?

boost gauge can go to any basically any reference on the intake manifold. Search for bluebird/avenir vacuum routing diagram.

who gives a rat ass about the boost gauge get your car running right first...


You wont be seeing any boost with a dead motor starved from oil but hey it will look cool right.

When you do get it running you can just T the vapor canister line. Make sure there is a one way valve on the vapor canister.
