QG18DE to SR20DET
Hey guys I just joined the site and plan to do a SR20DET swap. Just had a few questions I hope you can help me answer.

*Is the SR20DE and SR20VE header/manifold bolt pattern the exact same?

*Will a qg18de (5spd manual) Flywheel and clutch bolt on to a 2000-01' se 5 speed tranny?

*Does anyone know any shops down in S. Fl that can do the swap?

*Does anyone know a good place to purchase a good SR20DET/SR20VE engine and a 2000-01' Nissan Sentra SE 5 Spd Transmission?

Thanks for you help guys. I plan to learn a lot from this forum.

Thanks! Oh and one more question I forgot.

Does the SR20DET and SR20VE have the same transmission bolt patterns for FWD 5 speed? In other words I can use a 2000-01' Nissan Sentra SE 5 speed tranny for either or SR20DET or SR20VE?

yes they are the same transmission bolt patterns.

you might have to trim down the sr20det upper oil pan to clear your b15 crossmember though.

yes it the SR20DET manifold will fit your VE, even tho you might want to go with at least a T28

Why down-grade to the SR20? The QG18 is 1800cc of fury!

The QG18 transmission is much stronger than the stock SR20 transmission... the QG tran is actually the RS5F70A. The gears and case are the same as the SR B15 and P11 transmission. But the bell-housing is different. It would be awesome if Mazworx made a conversion kit for the QG tranny since they are everywhere lol. The only downside is the case is not fitted for LSD. So I guess it would be pointless overall. Sorry for the rambling.
