I had the same problem... ended up being a vacuum leak in the intake manifold. For the fuel pump problem I drive my car as a dd and have no problems until 4000 4500 with leaning out.

Got the car situated for the most part. Runs very strong. But when I first start it up and it won't hold idle. I have to stay on the gas until it warms up. Once I start driving around it will sometimes hold idle at stops. It will stay around 2000rpm. I adjusted the idle for it to stay around 1300 at idle. I've been told to clean out the iacv and the maf. This is starting to become very annoying.

can you go in and tune the calum basic? excuse my ignorance but im not famillure with them.

this could be a start up issue too much fuel or not enough fuel, it works both ways, do you have a wideband? what are you wideband readings at start up, and what are you wideband readings at warm engine temps?

ive seen the sr20s respond different ways when it comes to idling, depending on weather your cammed or stock cams, you may have to go in and adjust the fuel ratios at start up and on warm engine temps.

also not sure if you can go in and adjust the igniton timing around idle on the calum, but its something i had to do with my setup in order for the idle to stablize. for instance on my car i had to take some timing out around idle for the idle to not bounce, also ad to take out some fuel on start up for the idle to stablize, thats just my persnoal expierence.

it could be a tuning issue, but also could be a mechanical issue as well ie: dirty maf, regrounding of the maf, cleaning the iacv and aac.

it all depends on what you may or may not be able to do with the calum basic, like i said im not 100% famillure with it
