all det EX. manis the same?
is the gtir mani diffrent from any other det mani? is one better than the rest? is there certain ones to avoid?

GTIR is different, slightly better design, and allows to move the bigger turbo further from the block. VET is also slightly different again.

Most other DET ones are very similar if not the same, as they all run t25 turbos

ok, so the gtir mani is diffrent from the standard det! thats what i really needed to know.

how do you know if its a gtir? and is the V better than the D, or just diffrent?

Avenir and Bluebird are different (Both DET). Thus that makes them all different haha.

Avenir one is turned out a little, thus it's easier to stick a 3" turbo inlet without needing to grind the block.

^ah, good info. so does one flow more than the rest? or have better cylinder outlet arrangement? evlnxr seems to hint the gtir is the best, is this true?

Gti-R>Avenir>Bluebird manifold.

GTi-R flows the best, but since the turbo sits lower you might have to get more creative with piping. My P11 front motor mount is definitely in the way.

^wow, it really sits that much lower!?! crazy.

so the avenir is further out towards front, but the gtir doesnt stick out, but is lower?

and the avenir flows more than BB, and the gtir flows most of all?

just trying to learn my stock manifolds here. thanks guys!

Well on my B14 even the Avenir didn't let me use the stock B14 mount. P11 has a big front mount, same size as the rear mount.

It's more of an angle that the manifold makes the turbo sit at. I think GTiR might be same as Avenir.

I think Avenir and BB flow the same amount.

Get a GtiR if you can, otherwise and Avenir.

Get a GTI-R if you're using a custom turbo.

I have an Avenir manifold and had to do massive amounts of grinding to get my 2871R to fit.

Get the GTI-R to save your sanity. I wish I did.
