Plus VE head gasket is $75, so replace the head gasket, drop VE on it, but then if I want to go back to VE block that's another $75 on head gasket

Nope, I'm concerned about the weaker piston rings. My goal is to run 6psi but reliably. I would hate to get stranded 2-12 hours away from home.

That's why I went with a T28 bro, it helped a little not enough though. 8.5:1 CR blocks are just not as efficient out of boost as 9.5:1.
