Which Intake manifold?
I am going to be pulling my motor here soon and i was just wonder which intake manifold would be better. The High Port or Low port on a DE.

I know it's A LOT easier to get at the injectors on high-port.

^ i agree the highport is great for injector placements

there is a difference in the head design ....the low-port came out to help with emissions and it has the ability to outflow the high-port if I remember right....

X2

As far as flow on the intake manifolds, I haven't really heard of any measurable differences between the two. Matter of preference, I guess.

I think i might swap manifolds and stay with the high port. Just for injector reasons.

I would think it's a low-port. I'm no expert though.

I *think* 96 and after use the low-port design for emissions and with the introduction of OBD2. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure that's right. Plus, most all of the pics of stock engines I've seen for that year g20 were all low-ports.

lowport head will flow more, but the manifold design is crap. Highport makes more due to better manifold. At least that is what I have seen with my AEM box and some tuning I have done on both. You can't just swap manifolds though, so make sure you have the right combination.
