Thread: any particular reason HKS camshafts arent used?

the reason i said for price was it wasnt that the price was higher than others, but more so that just the stage 1 camshafts are around 460-530.00 and those are 10.5mm lift on IN and 10.0mm in exhaust... verses s4's that has 11.8mm for both intake and exhaust..

so for the price and the lift the stage 1 camshafts are rather expensive for the lift you get.

altho with the hks stage 1 camshafts hks says you they are good for up to 400whp, which isnt bad

the HKS cams are used in a lot of R's over here in the u.k, very popular choice

Exactly. To me its all explained by the marketing. They just didn't bother marketing them stateside.

If we were buying them they would have knocked off a few thousand sets with shorter dowel pins. They didn't bother. We didn't buy them.
