Sure I understand that, and I have an O2 induction manifold sitting in a box. After much thought, I realized that the power gains from it might be great, but not as great as say a VE . Since you can get a VE for $700 now days, which would you choose, DET + Intake mani or VET?

I'm just saying it comes to a point where the cost per WHP is just too high.

P.S I will cleanup the thread a little later, busy working on the car .

Im located in MN.....Im liking where this is headed!

So lets talk NA/ VE intake manifold options than. The more guys talk, the better its getting. Remember I am open to these ideas. My shop has the capabilities and this community has been plagued with part issues. But that is due in part to how this community works, it is a tough sell I want to help, keep the thoughts coming.......maybe I should do a poll.....hmmm

Try making a new thread in the VE section and link back to this one. You'll get the traffic over there.

A good design would have shorter fatter runners with vstacks on the inside (52mm is the perfect size, also biggest tbs possible, maybe 90mm plus.

Nice manifold, but unfortunately it will be expensive, like every quality parts and SR20 guys are not very keen on spending big money.
I did realized my own manifold for the gtir and wanted to do a group buy for it, tried evey way to cut costs, asked for quotes to many cnc companies around the world...USA, taiwan,China etc but when the runners alone were over $800 the final price couldn't be low

^Here is my intake manifold for my highport DE+T build. If I could get a NA manifold ideal for a 2.3L VE similar to this with longer runners pending firewall measurments, I would be willing to spend $600+ all day long. Money in hand for a quality parts.

The manifold is probably worth more if your running a turbo. I think a lot comes down to dollar per horsepower gained.

In " How to build performance Nissan sport compacts" the O2 Induction intake manifold is supposed to be good for 7-10 HP on an NA bolt on modified motor BUT can add 40-70 horse power to a turbo engine.

So, if I was running a turbo, I'd say 600.00+ was a good deal since it would cost me about 10.00 for every HP gained versus about 100.00 per HP gained on an NA motor.

Either way, it's likely anyone running that manifold would see an increase in gas mileage, when their accelerator wasn't glued to the floor board, and with gas at 3.00+ per gallon......
