Thread: BC stage 3s

Yeah, I'll most definitely post another thread, if not just add to my member's rides thread.

I have stg2 cams in my DD right now and I like them. I would say get s&rs even if you are on a stock rev. The profile on the stg2 are very close to coil bind on most and on some they will not even turn over. I will have stg3s here soon for the 100 shot set up.

See, that's what I was told, Matt.

The lift on the BC STG 2's is 12.06mm! That's HUGE, compared to stock. Obviously, the STG 3's are closer to 13mm of lift, so they won't even turn the motor over with stock S/R installed.

Yep. They will definitely be for sale. I'll have no use for them.

^I agree on your post........I was basing my post on my goals on my daily and not to rev them above the stock limit. I would run a s/r kit on any set of cams revving that high.

Keep in mind that you're still dangerously close to coil bind with the stock S/R, at a 7500rpm rev limit.

Is 8500rpm usually what these cams are pushed to with the s/r kit??? Or is anyone pushing them harder than this???

I've pushed mine on many occasions to 8500rpm, simply because the ECU doesn't compensate for Air/Fuel past 8K. If I could tune for 9K rpm, safely, I'd take them higher. It really didn't benefit me to push them higher anyway, due to the fact that the tiny T25 didn't make any power past around 7600rpm. At least it didn't seem to, anyway.

^What is the highest you think the BC2's would be safe to rev at on stock s/r's? I usually shift at 6800-7200 when I open it up on the weekends. I baby my car during the week.......I try to keep the temp down on it as much as possible.
