Should I Window Weld Motor Mounts?
I've been considering window welding my P11's motor mounts in fear of wheel hop. I already have traction bars waiting to be installed, which I hope take care of most wheel hop. The thing is, I don't want to introduce any new vibrations to the car.

Trying to build a comfy DET here

You cant combat wheel hop without making it more stiff. (You cant have your cake and eat it too)

There has to be a trade off somewhere. It barely vibrates as is. (Mine vibrated a lot with prothane mounts all around) It only vibrates a lot at the first few months and mellows out a ton when everything settles into its final resting spot.

Yeah why are guys so scared of Prothanes?? They vibrate for like a month and then everything settles and you dont even notice it anymore unless you never drive the car. 325lbs of Tq on the dyno and the motor moved probably 2 cm's at most

once you go P11 smooth, it's hard to go anywhere else. plus Vadim is a 40 years old guy in a 22 years old body.

Hockey pucks...trust me, much better than prothanes, zero movement and never require greasing, just a little custom cutting and thats it. About to make 2 sets for my B13s since they are finally getting their engines installed. I'll post up some pics.

Do you have the red's or the black's? Wayne and I where talking about these awhile ago, red ones tend to become soft overtime. My black ones where stiff until the day I sold the car....

You got it! By the amount of driving I do for work/travel it gets annoying quick.

interesting!
Someone told me that the red ones were harder...
but I installed all 4 of the black ones in my B13, and 6 months later they are still stiff as the day I mounted them... Makes the whole car rattle, its anoying as hell specially in traffic jams with no radio
