GT2871R .86 and go external gate with cams. Best street turbo out there for our cars.

MY gt3076r loses about 200rpm to a Disco potato.

My GT3076r has the 60mm turbine and a nice setup behind it. At 4500ft it fails to make over 500whp even on 26psi and race gas. Granted, it has a JWT tune, but the turbo is wheezing out of breath on this dyno and only made 479whp and 435tq.

I guess elevation kills these things. The 60mm turbine is just too small to make a ton of power with. Unless you like running over 30psi boost at sea level. I'm sure the turbo will flow 550whp worth of air in that situation.

^^ you're using a t3 3076 though, right? I wonder how the spool time changes on the t2 56.5mm turbine version...

The jwt tune does not help. its nice and safe but leaves room for improvement. I would agree the elevation is not helping you. I am at see level so I don't have those issues.

correct he is using the full 3076r with the 60mm wheel and the divided housing. Its a really nice setup. Its really hard to compare his setup because it pulse tuned with dual gates.

I am thinking a GTX35r in the near future. 200whp by no later than 4400rpm, and 380whp on 10psi. I can dream can't I?

I love the 2860rs, the 2871r is good-but-not-great, as with the 3076r. But the 3071r is a flat-out beast. It performs amazing in every car I've personally seen it in and seems to have better response than the 2871r. Still, it isn't as responsive as the disco potato.

The GTX2860rs would be nuts. There are rumors abound and it will likely flow 400hp worth of air with a 60mm compressor. Insane.
