I went for the 2871R, I feel it was a great deal and I would regret it later if I didn't pick it up. Anyone have any opinons or info on the Sard 850cc injectors? I have been offered some.

It is a t2 flange on the 3076, but I already bought the 2871. Here is the thread I bought it from, the rebuild was done with all Garrett parts.

I think the 520s at 3 and 4 bar are listed in Miko's injector size and WHP thread/sticky

oh well, I'm a mismatched kinda guy. The 2871R seems well suited to our square 2.0 from what I have read. The results seem promising. Maybe I will finally be able to blow up this silly lowport.

That's interesting. I'm at 16 psi on a 2871R and S4s. I need to get the Consult back out and record my injector use before I go a little further. I'm using STI injectors @ 4bar as well. Last thing I want is to run out of fuel.

Greedy 18g. That wouldve been my suggestion. Pay Waaaaay less money and make the same power. Just saying. Nobody ever listens to my sugestions anyway though lol

true, but the GT28rs and GT2871R does crack too.

Someone post a dyno chart of a 2871r making 400whp. Thanks.

The 2871 isn't my first choice of turbo. They work ok. But I agree with Kojima on the mismatch. Putting the larger compressor from the GT3071r on the disco potato turbine doesn't do much for efficiency. Just like running a GT3076r. The 76mm compressor is just a tad too big for the turbine wheel, and although the turbine will support it, it isn't as efficient.

I vote the GT3071r. It has the 60mm turbine and will make up to 475hp. It will be much easier on the engine to make power with it. Also, you can buy a T25 WG housing for it. So basically the packaging is exactly the same except you get a machined turbine housing to fit. No brainer.

The GT3076r is a bastard turbo, yet the only one available to make 500whp without jumping up to the GT35r turbos. I like the 3076r, but the 3071r is more efficient. Still, the noise the 3076r makes when building boost is incredibly sexy. Sounds like a jet.

I feel the GT3076r should have come with the GT35 turbine wheel. Should have been a GT3576r. It probably would have performed a lot better overall.

These are bastardized variants. All GT30 based turbos have a 60mm turbine, the T31. If you are getting a 56mm wheel, you are basically getting a GT2871r with a larger compressor wheel, (which garrett also makes) but it is false advertising. Cutting the wheel down hurts efficiency.

Don't get the GT2876r, it sucks. But getting a 56mm turbine means you are just getting a T2 turbo basically.

I wouldn't do it. The T31 is fine the way it is. Clipping the blades is always going to sacrifice something.

ok the gt25/40 aka gt2676r has a 53.5mm wheel the same as the gt2860r. this is also the same turbine used in the 2871r. The gt3071r and 3076r either have a 60mm wheel or the cut down 56.5mm wheel. even with the cut down wheel both 30r's will make over 475whp.
